| Weaverham Branch had a 'Mums Know Best' evening when two husbands served the drinks and then they were entertained by two chefs from Mid-Cheshire College who produced two dishes for them to sample. Members also brought along their favourite dishes for sampling too! | |

| St. Wilfrid, Davenham, Middlewich Deanery is one hundred and six years old this year. The first Branch Leader was a Mrs Saunders in 1904 - she was leader for an amazing thirty six years, until it was taken over by Mrs Horrocks in 1940. | |

| Charlie's in Northwich is still supporting the Cape Town Soup Kitchens. From January to the end of April 2010 they have given another £162. The grand total since December 2008 is £771. | |
| Christ Church, Wharton celebrated their 75th Anniversary on 5th May 2010 with a communion service led by their Vicar, Mr Tim Hanson. 90 Mothers' Union members from the Deanery, together with Prayer Partners from the Wirral and ex Prayer Partners from Bickerton made up the congregation. Diana Bancroft was commissioned as Deanery Leader at Middlewich Deanery Festival service at St Peter's, Little Budworth on Lady Day, 25th March 2010. All 10 branches in the Deanery were represented and Diana's family were present. The service included readings by Angela Klabou, Diocesan President and Diana's Granddaughter, Chloe. The Festival choir sang an anthem and Kayleigh, Jessica and Bethany from the Verdin High School in Winsford sang an arrangement of Seek ye First. The prayers were compiled and read by St Peter's Mothers' Union members. Following the service a presentation was made to Susan Hawkes as retiring Deanery Leader. | |

A Farmers' Market takes place at Booseys Garden Centre on the first Saturday of the month and there is a craft market the following day. Susan Hawkes, promotions rep and former Deanery Leader, decided to have a stall to promote the soup project and then the cafe owner Debbie said she would make the soup for the month of November. They sold vouchers for soup on the stall and promoted the project with pictures of Cape Town. Debbie has asked for a collecting box to put on the counter of the coffee shop | |

St. Peter's Mothers' Union organised a picnic on the village green in Little Budworth on Bank Holiday Monday to celebrate National Family week. The picnic was one of many held on that day for the Guiness World Record book to hold the biggest world picnic, a record currently held by Spain. The event in Little Budworth was well attended by villagers and Mothers' Union members and their families with people coming from as far afield as Wigan and St. Helens to join in the fun. The picnic had to comprise 2 courses and picnickers had to sit on a rug and eat their picnic at 1pm. A great afternoon was had by all. | |
