The Rt. Revd. Robert Atwell, Bishop of Stockport, celebrated and preached at the Festival service. He spoke to us about families and reminded us that there have been problems in families from the time of Genesis. After quoting from our aim and objectives, he urged us to be out there fighting for families. During the service Angela Klabou, Peggy Whetham and Wendy Sykes were commissioned as Speakers and the Ven Richard Gillings was enrolled as a member of Mothers' Union At the end of the service, Jenny Gillies (Family Life Officer) was presented with a Baptism Stole as she prepares for Ordination in July. She is to take up a post as curate at St Oswald, Bidston, Birkenhead
