Birkenhead Deanery Mothers’ Union celebrated Lady Day with a Festival Eucharist Service at Oxton St Saviour, Birkenhead. The Bishop of Birkenhead, The Rt. Revd. Keith Sinclair, celebrated and preached. During the service the Bishop and his wife Rosie and 4 members of St Saviours’ Branch were admitted to Mothers’ Union membership by Sue Pearson, Archdeaconry President. They were all welcomed by members from throughout the Wirral.

On Saturday 21st March, the Laurence Singers performed ’A Celebration in Music’ at St Mary Magdalene, Ashton on Mersey. All proceeds from this concert, which was organised by Jean Shelmerdine, Diocesan President of Chester Diocese Mothers’ Union, went towards furthering the work of Mothers’ Union in Chester Diocese and further afield.

The Mothers’ Union branch at Burton and Puddington celebrated 100 years as a branch with a special Deanery Festival service in St. Nicholas’ Church, Burton.
